hiring St Helen’s

The site of St Helen’s dates back to Roman times, and has existed as a church since the 6th century, making it the oldest church in the city. The oldest part of the existing church building dates back to 1288, but the majority of what you see is from the 15th century. It was closed as a parish church in the later half of the 20th century when it became the City Archives, before re-opening as a church again in 2006 as part of All Saints Worcester, which  also runs the Worcester Foodbank. St Helen’s has recently had a big refurbishment and repairs, making it both a beautiful and a functional space.

Now that the latest work at St Helen’s is complete, it remains a consecrated church and a place of regular worship, as well as a space for our community groups to meet. St Helen’s is also available for external hire. We welcome both private events and commercial uses of the space, as long as the purpose of the event respects the church as a consecrated place of worship.

Since reopening in 2023 we have played host to concerts, weddings and receptions, conferences, history and open days, birthday parties, breakfasts, charity fundraisers and more. We want to support our local communities as much as we are able to, and as such offer a charities and communities discount.
